What To Bring

We recommend packing at least 7-10 days worth of clothing, depending on the length of stay to be determined by clinical staff. All clothing will be worn with consideration and respect of others. Anything that depicts alcohol, drugs, violence, sex or gambling will not be tolerated. All clients are required to wear undergarments (i.e., bras, underwear) and not intentionally expose them while in treatment and at residences. A light sweater, sweatshirt or jacket is recommended while at our facilities as we do have air conditioning.

All clients must wear appropriate footwear at all times. Sneakers, flip flops and flat soled shoes are recommended and absolutely no bare feet in the common areas. We do have a swimming pool at the Detox facility and we prefer all clients bring respectable swimwear, even though we are in South Florida, no thong and boy short type bathing suits for both women and men will be allowed.

Recovery Institute of South Florida does have laundry facilities on properties available to all clients. We also supply the laundry detergent, all washers and dryers are free to use for clients.

All towels, bed linen, blankets, and pillows are supplied. If a client prefers to bring their own pillow, they can take it on the plane with them and keep it in their lap as to not use space in their suitcase.

Clients may also bring the following:

  • Reading materials of a non-controversial nature. Materials containing violence, nudity or glorification of drug/alcohol abuse will not be permitted.
